When to use it

Use this as the closing request in written Japanese — emails, cover letters, formal notices — when you want to ask for something without imposing an obligation. It literally says "it would be fortunate (for me) if…", so it frames the request as your benefit rather than the reader's duty, making it softer than ～てください or ～お願いします. It is almost exclusively written; saying it aloud in a meeting sounds like reciting an email.

Formation

Verbs: 仮定形 (ば-form) + 幸いです → 確認できれば幸いです。The dominant business shape is 〈お/ご＋ます stem or 漢語〉＋いただければ幸いです (humble, addressee as agent): ご返信いただければ幸いです。
i-adjectives: 〜ければ幸いです → ご都合がよろしければ幸いです。(fairly rare)
na-adjectives: 〜であれば幸いです → ご参加が可能であれば幸いです。
Nouns: 〜であれば幸いです → 来週以降であれば幸いです。
Variants, roughly in order of increasing politeness/stiffness: 〜いただけますと幸いです／〜いただけましたら幸いです／〜いただければ幸甚です・幸甚に存じます。Negative requests take 〜ないでいただければ幸いです。
Because 幸い belongs to the writer, the subject is always the speaker; never pair it with a plain imperative in the same clause.
