When to use it
Use ~はさておき when you want to explicitly shelve one topic in order to move to a more pressing one — typically to steer a meeting back on track, or in email/reports to signal that a side issue won't be settled here. It is a notch more formal and more deliberate than ~はともかく or ~は別として, and it implies the set-aside item is genuinely postponed rather than dismissed. Very common in the fixed openers 冗談はさておき and 前置きはさておき.
