When to use it
Use ~に見合った when stating that one thing is proportionate to, or worthy of, another — typically pay to performance, returns to risk, or results to investment. It is the standard register for written business Japanese (proposals, reports, negotiation emails) where 「~にふさわしい」 sounds more subjective and 「~に応じた」 focuses on variation rather than balance. Frequently appears in the fixed collocations 実績に見合った報酬・リスクに見合ったリターン・投資に見合った効果.
